Who we are

Eloah Aesthetic Clinic & Salon ("Eloah", "we") is the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at 31 Boelboel Street, Rooihuiskraal, Centurion, 0157, by email at info@eloahsalon.co.za or by phone on 083 998 9752.

KAYBEN Hair, Reset Spa and Akamia Skin and Body are independent businesses that share our building. Each of them is responsible for the personal information of its own clients.

The information we collect

• Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.
• Booking details: the treatments you book, appointment times and your treatment history with us.
• Health information that a therapist needs before a treatment, such as skin conditions, allergies, medication, pregnancy and relevant medical history.
• Messages you send us through this website, WhatsApp, email, phone or Facebook.
• Payment records for the treatments you pay for.
• Basic technical information when you use this website, described under "Cookies and this website".

We collect this information when you book online through Fresha, contact us, complete a consultation form at the salon or use this website.

Why we use it

• To book, confirm and remind you of your appointments.
• To perform your treatments safely and keep a record of them.
• To answer your questions and requests.
• To manage payments and keep our accounts.
• To send you specials and salon news, but only if you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.
• To meet our legal obligations.

We only process personal information on the grounds POPIA allows: with your consent, to provide a service you asked for, to comply with the law, or for our legitimate interest in running the salon.

Your health information

Health information is special personal information under POPIA. We only collect it with your consent, only use it to treat you safely, and keep it confidential. You may choose not to share it, but some treatments cannot be performed safely without it.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We only share it with service providers who help us run the salon and who must keep it confidential:

• Fresha, our online booking system.
• Our website host, and Pixeri Solutions, who build and maintain this website.
• Our email provider, and WhatsApp (Meta) when you message us there.
  Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that messages sent through our contact form come from a person and not a spam program.
• Authorities, but only when the law requires it.

Some of these providers store information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we rely on them to protect it to a standard POPIA accepts for cross-border transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or for as long as the law requires. After that we delete or destroy it securely.

How we protect it

Access to client information is limited to the people who need it, our systems are password-protected, this website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and any paper records are kept safe. If your personal information is ever compromised, we will let you and the Information Regulator know, as POPIA requires.

Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

• ask whether we hold personal information about you, and request a copy of it;
• ask us to correct or delete information that is wrong, out of date or no longer needed;
• object to us processing your information, including for marketing;
• withdraw your consent at any time;
• lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

Children

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must give consent before we process your personal information.

Cookies and this website

This website uses a few small cookies so that it works properly and remembers your visit. It does not use advertising cookies. Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which looks at information about your device and how you use the page to tell people apart from spam programs; Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. The map on our contact page and the booking window are provided by Google and Fresha, who may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. Links to Facebook and WhatsApp take you to those services, which also have their own policies.
